First year of reviews. There are a handful of books that I read but just did not make the time to write a review and I did not review any book that I ended up DNF-ing.
I realize that my best of list is weird. I reviewed my reviews (you’re welcome for that) and there were books that I gave 5 star ratings that I did not include on this list, and those I did include which received a lower rating. As stated before, I am an extremely complex person but also! these are the books that I know will be future re-reads and ones I think about and compare current reads. So, even if books were more technical 5 stars, these were my favorite in descending order:
- Scandalized
- Funny You Should Ask
- Bend Toward the Sun
- Birds of California
- A Lady’s Guide to Fortune Hunting
I feel fortunate to have been able to read some really good romance novels this year. I love how the genre is receiving more recognition and several authors have deals to turn these amazing books into films. Definitely cannot wait to see what 2023 brings! Love what you read folks!
